A time for giving at Monash Children’s

Southern Health took part in the festive tradition of gift-giving with Beaumaris Primary School at the Monash Children’s in Clayton on Monday 14 December.

Twenty-five children from Beaumaris Primary School were given a talk in the Play Education room about children who are treated in hospitals and how Monash Children’s helps them to feel more comfortable during their stay.

Head of Play Education and Play Therapist Paula Matthews said it was a great opportunity to show the school children what the ward is like during Christmas and the festive season.

The school children then went on a tour of the ward before heading to the ground floor to place their donated gifts under the Zouki Giving Tree.

Their gifts, together with gifts donated by the general public, will be given out to children on the ward on Christmas day.
