Monash Children’s promotes caring, sharing - DHS Health Victoria
Southern Health’s Monash Children’s service hosted a range of activities and programs to celebrate Children’s Week—promoting 2009’s A Caring World theme.Southern Health’s Head of Play Education Paula Matthews and Play Therapist Joanne Hogan hosted various activities, arts and crafts, visits from the Clown Doctors, music and singing groups, relaxation sessions and magic tricks with Zodo the clown for children on the wards at the Monash Medical Centre in Clayton and Dandenong Hospital.
Monash Medical Centre Clayton displayed the A century of caring for children paediatric heritage exhibition.
The exhibition included historical photographs and exhibits depicting Southern Health children’s services through the ages.
It demonstrated how different children’s services complement each other to provide complete child-focused continuity of care with a multi-disciplinary context from birth to the age of 18.
