Boardies Day a success with the help of a little magic.

Boardies day is an important fundraising event held every year for life saving Australia. This year Southern Health partnered with Ronald McDonald House to raise funds on Friday December 10 with proceeds benefitting Monash Children’s, Ronald McDonald and Surf Live Saving Australia.

Southern Health staff members participated by donning their boardies and donating online and ‘little nippers’ from Surf Live Saving Mentone wore their surf rescue gear and accepted gold coin donations from visitors and staff in the main foyer at Monash Medical Centre Clayton.

Two special visitors also participated in Boardies Day, Clayton the Bear and Ronald McDonald visited kids in 41N and 42N and Ronald even performed a special magic show in the foyer for the enthralled crowd that gathered around.

The event was organised by Paul Burmeister with the help of Health Technology Services and little nippers, James Burmeister, Lawrence Beckman, Louis Martin and William Burmeister did a fantastic job supporting this fundraising effort. Thank you to everyone involved.
