Christmas Day 2010

Christmas Day at Monash Children’s was a busy one this year with a special visit from Santa and his trusty helpers courtesy of the local fire crew from Oakleigh Fire Station who delivered Santa to the entrance doors (no chimney for him here!) in the big red trucks.

Children from all over the hospital – visitors in the foyer, patients in the emergency department, on the children’s wards and in ICU – were all lucky to receive a special visit from the big man in red and there was also a surprise drop in from Richmond’s Daniel Jackson.

Over 20 volunteers’ ensured that that Christmas 2010 was celebrated in style, and the presence of the local firefighters added to the party spirit!

Thanks to all the clowns, elves, fairies, Santa’s, and the wonderful choristers. Thank you all!!!!!!!!
