Monash Children's smile for a good cause
Monash Children's at Southern Health will host a Smile Day fundraising event at the Monash Medical Centre Clayton on Monday 29th March, 12:30-1:30pm.
The event aims to raise awareness and funds for the Humour Foundation's Clown Doctors that visit children in hospital. People can donate online, or by walking into any Commonwealth Bank branch. Funds are expected to go towards paying for more Clown Doctors to visit more hospitals in Victoria.
The day will see visits from Nova radio's Casanovas and two Clown Doctors who will put on games and performances and give out prizes for children who attend from the ward at the Monash Children’s Playground.
After the games the Clown Doctors will walk around the ward visiting any sick children who were unable to leave their bed.
Photos and interviews from the day will be used with the official Smile Day fundraiser event on Wednesday 31 March in Federation Square.
