Bunnings get together to help kids at Monash Children's
The Play Education Department’s playground is having a major face lift thanks to the generosity of Bunning’s.When Bunning’s Ware House stores at Moorabin and Oakleigh South joined together to upgrade the Starlight Room at Monash Children’s, staff arrived to check out the room and noticed the adjoining playground area. They offered their services and as a result are cleaning, upgrading and repairing the playground's garden, furniture, shade sails and floor. They have replaced plants and re-varnished planters and furniture to make the area absolutely beautiful.
The Play Education and Creative Arts Therapy Department aims for the outdoor area to be a sanctuary for patients and families. It is an area where staff work with patients (particularly art therapy) and a place where children and family members can relax and enjoy being outdoors. We are so grateful to Bunning’s for providing this upgrade and know that many patients and their family and friends will enjoy this for years to come.
