Dr Armstrong set to go the distance for cystic fibrosis

Monash Children’s Dr David Armstrong is gearing up for the ride of his life in support of Cystic Fibrosis sufferers.

Known at Monash Children’s as a doctor who always goes that extra distance for his young patients and their families, Dr Armstrong will be riding in support of one of his patients.

Dr Armstrong has joined riding for life a group of ordinary people embarking on an extraordinary journey, as they attempt to cycle over 1700 kilometres from Melbourne to the Gold Coast to raise awareness and much needed funds for two great causes;
Cystic Fibrosis Victoria and the Queensland Premier's flood relief.

“The father of one of my cystic fibrosis patients is riding, so I thought I would join in, to help raise some money for two extremely worthwhile causes,” Dr Armstrong said.

“I will be riding with a group of 17 other riders and we will each be riding every kilometre - no relays on this ride.’

The riders leave from Federation Square on May 2nd and arrive in the Gold Coast May 16th.”
