Monash Children's BBQ a sizzling success
More than 500 sausages were gobbled down at the Monash Children's Run Melbourne BBQ this week as staff and families came together to support a very special Appeal.
There are under six weeks to go until race day and the excitement is building. Raffle tickets supporting the cause also sold quickly with winners notified shortly after 2pm.
Southern Health Chief Executive Shelly Park said the event was a great celebration of community spirit.
"It was great to see so many people supporting the fundraising efforts for mobile paediatric heart monitors at Monash Children's," Ms Park said.
"We are still a long way off the target required but I have no doubt the community will continue to support us."
Further fundraising events are being planned and will be announced shortly.
