Trip to theatre
Parents often feel helpless when their child is sent to theatre. We encourage parents to walk with their child to theatre and then return to the ward to wait. Alternatively, you are able to wait outside the theatre. If you return to the ward, please ensure that you notify the staff that you are on the ward so they may contact you when your child wakes from surgery. You will then be able to return to the recovery room and sit with your child until they are ready to return to the ward. |
