Bankwest - Partners Mean Business

Congratulations to Bankwest for signing on as a Monash Children’s Business Partner!

Bankwest approached Southern Health’s Fundraising Department several months ago, asking how it could participate in Monash Children’s mission of providing better health care for our community.

The company particularly liked the idea of helping the parents of sick children, which in turn helps those children get better, quicker. Clinical experience shows that children have better medical outcomes when their parents can stay in hospital with them.

However, in tough economic times, the healthcare dollar can’t stretch to accommodate the comfort of family members, so parents have had to spend their nights in armchairs that have seen their best days.

Bankwest to the rescue!!

The Bank has signed up to buy a new chair-bed each month to support the parents of the kids at Monash Children’s. That’s going to mean happier mums and dads, which will mean happier patients.
