Bayside Blue Healers
On Wednesday 20 April, over 100 golfers teed off at the magnificent Victoria Golf Club in support of the Bayside Blue Healers Golf Day.
Despite the drizzle, all the participants were in high spirits as the groups of four or five negotiated each hole on the lovely course.
After the golf was finished everyone sat down to enjoy a fantastic three-course meal and the friendly competition continued as people bid on some of the fantastic auction items which included footy memorabilia and a signed and framed AC/DC guitar.
Dr Peter Downie, Head of the Children’s Cancer Centre, talked about the importance of the support from everyone at the Blue Healers golf day. The money raised for equipment and the improvement of the facilities means that, “I can look families in the eye and tell them that their child will receive the best possible care,” Dr Downie said.
All proceeds will go to Monash Children's, allowing children to receive the best possible care close to where they live.
