Chain Reaction

Chain Reaction was founded in 2007 by Berrick Wilson after his then two-day old daughter, Milla, was rushed to Monash Children’s NICU with a brain haemorrhage.
During the weeks following Milla’s admission, the Wilson family received excellent care from the staff at NICU. The experience left Mr Wilson feeling there was a lot more that could be done to help sick children.

Thankfully Milla recovered and is a healthy little girl, but for parents with sick newborns this piece of equipment will help answer vital questions about the health of their babies, their long term outcomes and the results of treatment. During a difficult period this might help relieve some of the anxiety that these families are experiencing.

Dr Andrew Ramsden, Director of Monash Newborn, expressed his gratitude to Chain Reaction, their support crew and families.

“On behalf of Monash Newborn and Monash Children’s I would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your hard work and determination and for making a real
difference in the lives of our youngest patients with this generous donation,” Dr Ramsden said. Since their first ride in 2007, Chain Reaction has raised over $2.75 million on behalf of its charity partners.
