TLC for Kids
TLC for Kids supports Monash Children's at Christmas through providing gifts for the children on the ward at Christmas and help with the cost and organisation of holding parties.They also supply Easter gifts and a Rapid Request service which is a service that provides children with a gift (usually a necessary item) if they are extreamly ill or in dire circumstances.
Examples of the rapid request service include:
- An adolescent aged 15 from Western Australia and would require a long stay at Monash Meeedical Centre. He lost his mobile phone which TLC replaced so he could stay in touch with his friends.
- A special needs teenage boy cared for by Grandma. Grandma ran out of funding for adult nappy's, TLC delivered enought nappy's for use until funding was reinstated.
- The washing machine of a family with 6 children including 2 disabled children broke. TLC got them a new one.
